    Period in the nursery

Christmas trees need three to four years in the nursery, before they are ready for real life in the stand. During the first two years in which the seed is to germinate, 500 Christmas trees are planted per m2 in the seedbed. Subsequently, the trees are moved to a transplant bed in which there are 40 Christmas trees per m2.
